Moulin-à-Vent is one of the 10 crus of the Beaujolais, in the south of the Burgundy wine region. The soils are schistose-clay and granite, perfect for the expression of the Beaujolais’ emblematic grape, the Gamay.
Manual harvest with a rigorous grape sorting. Traditional Beaujolais fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the Gamay’s fruitiness, under strict temperatures controls.
Deep dark cherry colour. In the nose, jam-like aromas of red fruits, especially strawberry. A good structure in the mouth with silky tannin at the finish.
Pairs well with light dishes, especially grilled red meats. Also goes well with light cheeses.
